First, Give Us Some Details

We would love to get an idea of what you might be interested in! You can let us know what your needs are by filling out our Inquiry Survey. One of the most important aspects of the inquiry is letting us know if you have a specific event/date you have in mind to debut your brand new garments at. Our custom process currently takes around 10-12 weeks. There is always a possibility of us being able to take on rush orders – give us a call and let’s see if we can work something out!

Once we receive your inquiry and have an idea of what you may be interested in, we will contact you to schedule an appointment for a consultation. You can also schedule any kind of appointment you would like, any time you would like, by simply clicking over to our convenient online calendar!

For Custom Garments

When the wonderful day for your consultation has arrived, one of our sartorially superior and easy-of-manner Ladies of Duchess will sit down with you to figure out exactly what you are looking for, choose fabrics and notions, and take your measurements. This process is a fun collaboration, often educational, in which all your ideas are welcome. If you are unsure of exactly what you are looking for, fear not! Our Ladies are experts at figuring out just the right thing, taking all manners of taste, matching needs, and fit concerns into consideration. Depending on what you are looking for, these consultations take between one and two hours.

At the end of your consultation we will collect a deposit (80% of the total cost of your order) in order to begin production on your fine custom garments. If you are unable to pay your deposit at the time of your consultation, we will charge a $100 consultation fee. If you choose to proceed with your order afterword, this fee will be applied to your order when it is placed.

A Few Important Policy Notes:


Once you have picked out all of the details for your garments and paid your deposit, it will take approximately 10-12 weeks to complete your order.  Our timeline does vary throughout the year, so please let us know if you have a special event to which you are planning to wear your new custom clothing.  We often book up several weeks in advance, so contacting us to schedule 3 to 4 weeks in advance is advisable.


Cancellations within 24 hours will be charged a $100 consultation fee upon rebooking, to hold your new appointment time.  This fee will be put towards your order when it is placed.  Cancellations within 24 hours that have paid the $100 consultation fee will forfeit the fee, and a second consultation fee will be required for rebooking.

Out of State

For the time being and possibly indefinitely, Duchess will not be doing online or long distance custom orders. We have been working with our customers to figure out the best ways to achieve perfect fit at a distance, and we are not satisfied with the level of service we can give our beloved customers without doing your measuring and fittings in person, despite the avenues we have tried. While we want to be able to reach as wide an audience as possible with our affordable custom suits, shirts, and outerwear, we pride ourselves in excellent, personalized service and have come to the realization that our high standards are just not possible to fully meet via email and online ordering.

For clients who have ordered from us in the past, and for whom we have measurements on file, hope is not lost! Please e-mail or call us with what you are interested in, and we will be happy to use your measurements on file for future orders.
